VIEW EVENT CALENDAR
The Lake View Events Committee consists of many dedicated individuals – each with their own set of talents and abilities – who come together to serve the community by planning all of these wonderful events. This committee helps bring everyone together for fellowship, food, music, and a whole lot of fun! Here’s a brief overview of each annual event…
- APRIL – – Spring Easter Egg Hunt– A family friendly event featuring an easter egg hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny! Don’t forget to bring a camera to snap photos with the Easter Bunny and bring your basket for your eggs and candy.
- JULY – – Our next event is July 4th. Everyone charge up or gas up your golf carts. It’s time for the 4th of July parade. Dress up your golf cart and parade it around town. Then meet back at the community center for a hot dog snack.
- OCTOBER – – Then we start cooling off with our Harvest Festival. Lots of different vendors with crafts, baked goods, boiled peanuts, pork skins and many creative activities. Sharing this event is our Annual Trunk-or-Treat Event. Volunteers from around the community and local churches, friends and families go all-out decorating the trunks of their cars or beds of their trucks, vying for 1st and 2nd place in our “best decorated” competition. Families from all over-decked out in their favorite costumes – enjoy collecting candy and treats, eating from local food trucks, shopping local vendors, and enjoying crafts and games. It’s an all-around spooky good time. Of course, we can’t forget our Boys & Girls Costume Contest. October also welcomes our Town Trick or Treat. Are you brave enough to face what lurks around town as children dress up in Costumes and go door to door to receive candy from each home in Lake View. This event will be October 31st @ 6:30pm.
- NOVEMBER – – November we switch gears and lay patronage to our Veterans with a well-deserved salute and family friendly Veterans Breakfast at the Lake View Community Center. November also brings our Christmas caroling with the children around our Lake View decorated Tree Lighting Ceremony the weekend after Thanksgiving.
- DECEMBER – – Now Winter is upon us and it’s time to start our Christmas Festivities on the first Saturday in December. What better way to bring the Christmas spirit in, than to hearing all our favorite holiday songs while shopping and sipping hot chocolate. It is truly a Hallmark moment for Our Little Town. This is our last and largest event of the year Christmas on the Boulevard. This is a whole day of fun! We start the day with lots of vendors with crafts, offering lots of original creations. There are blow ups for the kids, food vendors, music and live performances. There is also a large car show. And then we begin our Christmas Parade that will end with Santa. A day of Magical moments and fun!
